There is blood on our hands again

(From the song 'Blood on our Hands' by Death From Above 1979).

What I'm clumsily trying to say is that here's a blog what I made whilst I should've been doing something better and that if you're reading it then you should be doing something better too. Also, the fact that you and I have the time and resources to respectively make and read this gumpf is why the World is so screwed.

Politics is fun?

So I haven't posted anything for a while... mostly because I can't be bothered but also because I haven't really done anything.

So why am I posting now I hear you not asking?
Well I've just got a stumble of an amazingly well done piece of political information/education. You simply must click the link, even if you just fancy playing a funny, well written and genuinely interesting online game - Bush Game. It's kinda got me fired up in a way I haven't felt for quite some time and I like it (thanks Andy!). It's made me feel all active and so I think I might have a go at 'getting some things done' this afternoon.

Besides getting stumbles from people ('stumble-upon' is a cool extension for the Firefox browser which is what all the cool people are using) I've been working in Cardiff's County Hall, spending time with my girlfriend Helen and generally not much besides.

I have managed to catch up with some old friends recently though and had quite a successful house party last weekend where everyone drank punch out of a purpose bought bin. Yeah, we're THAT cool.
Last Thursday I went to see In Flames in the Coal Exchange in Cardiff Bay and I have to say, they were pretty fucking great. The sound levels seemed to be off a bit which was a shame but you couldn't fault the playing and singing, those guys sure know their stuff.

Mostly I'm just trying to save some money so I can pay off some of my debt... it's not very glamorous and means I tend to watch the pennies perhaps a little too much. I still manage to waste money on silly things like booze and food I don't much need to eat but at least I can see light at the end of the tunnel.

That being said, my placement at County Hall is coming to an end within the next few weeks and I'll have to go back to the agency I'm with in order to get somewhere else. I'll be sad to leave and it's always nerve wracking going somewhere new but that's the life of a temp I suppose and one I may have to get used to in the short term at least.

Anyway... I think I'm gonna get myself sorted now and do something mildly constructive.

As Al Gore would say, "Peace out y'all!"
